This internationally renowned sensation is a crowd pleaser and keeps folks entertained with his light anecdotes, Hebrew lyrics and blissful melodies. Well known as one of Israel's greatest composers, Rami Kleinstein, currently on tour in North America, will take the Greater Philadelphia region on a journey through Israeli culture at this community wide event. Born in New York, Rami Kleinstein, moved to Israel with his family at age eight. This legendary musician was quoted as saying, "To go to the U.S., perform and bring Israeli culture to American audiences is important to me," Kleinstein, who performs a U.S. tour at least once a year, says with obvious pride. "I tell them stories about Israel, about myself and my aliyah." Rami adds a multicultural flavor to his music by writing his own lyrics to famous American musician's songs and weaving the thread of American culture throughout the Israeli tapestry of his Hebrew ballads. His Hebrew rendition of Bob Dylan's Forever Young gives a modern spin to this classic American song and spread his popularity amongst his American audience. His musical style has been often compared to Elton John or Billy Joel. Rami captivates the audience with his soulful voice and creates a profound connection through his beautiful love songs and soothing piano playing.
Rami Kleinstein produced his twelfth album in 2010 featuring his live performances in Tel Aviv and Hertzaliya. He received great recognition over the course of his musical career and a number of noteworthy awards. In 1997 Rami Kleinstein wrote his most popular album "Kol ma She Tirtzi" (Everything You Want) which topped the charts and reached triple platinum after only ten days. This groundbreaking artist was named Israeli Radio and Television's "Singer of the Year" in 1995 after one of his biggest hits of all time "Tapuchim U' Tmarim" (Apples and Dates) album reached triple platinum. Mostly recently Rami has added judge to his credits since he has taken on this role for the Israeli version of The Voice.
