posted by: sfpr
Summary:
PASSING ON WEALTH TO FAMILY THE FOCUS OF TWO FREE LUNCH & LEARN PROGRAMS AT THE WATERMARK AT LOGAN SQUARE IN SEPTEMBER

* Wednesday, September 12, 11:30 a.m. --- Estate Planning and Why You Need a Will

* Thursday, September 20, 11:30 a.m. --- Grandparent Gifting & Multigenerational Planning

Description:
Providing financially for future generations is the focus of two free Lunch & Learn programs presented by experts in September at The Watermark at Logan Square, the retirement community in Center City Philadelphia.

Seniors who wish to leave a financial legacy will benefit by attending the Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, September 12 at 11:30 a.m. entitled "Estate Planning and Why You Need a Will". Thomas R. Hester, an independent financial consultant, and attorney Randy Hope Steen will co-present a primer on the complex estate and tax laws that apply to life savings and investments. They will cover what taxes are due upon death and how to minimize them, how to transfer property before and after death and the importance of powers of attorney, a last will and a living will.

"Grandparent Gifting & Multigenerational Planning" is the topic of the Lunch & Learn on Thursday, September 20 at 11:30 a.m.  Henry B. Bennett, LUTCF, a financial services professional for New York Life, will explain the options for those who wish to provide financially for their grandchildren and future generations.  He will discuss strategies of gifting money and assets and how that differs from leaving an inheritance through wills and trusts.

Both Lunch & Learn programs are free and open to the public.  Seating is limited and advance registration is required.  The Watermark at Logan Square is located just off the Benjamin Franklin Parkway at Two Franklin Town Boulevard in Philadelphia.  To attend or learn more, please call The Watermark at 215-240-8915.
